EFFECTIVE ELECTROMAGNETIC RESPONSE OF THE INFINITE CHAIN OF METALLIC CYLINDERS IMMERSED IN ISOTROPIC DIELECTRIC MATRIX
摘要
The long wave approximation for electromagnetic response of the generalized infinite chain of infinitely long circular metallic cylinders periodically embedded in an arbitrary slab dielectric matrix have been obtained in this study. The expressions of the response are obtained by means of generalization for the expressions for the electromagnetic response of the similar chain with the thickness is equal to the diameter of the cylinders. The generalization has been done through using the S- and T-matrices approaches. The case of ferrite like metal cylinders is considered. Comparisons of the analytically obtained results with the numerically calculated ones are made.
